On the way back

Every journey has an ending, and sadly so does this one.

I'm now writing on the plane back to San Francisco. The two-week vacation to Beijing has been amazing and I'm still in awe of all that I saw, experienced, and felt. I know that even tho' the journey is now over, I will have these experiences with me for a long time and my thoughts and dreams for many years to come.

I fondly call this trip "Gu Dou Xun Meng" (Chasing Dreams in an Old Capital). The name captures the purpose and feelings while in Beijing quite nicely. It begins my search for my dreams by going back to my roots, to the place that gave birth to me.

May this be the beginning of my search for myself, my dreams of the past, present and future.

Thoughts while on Flight

Being in the air is such a sweet interlude!

It's a intermission in life's exhausting journey. For a moment, all my daily obligations seem to take a pause. And all my cares and fears disappear from my mind.

The hardest decision I have to make here is to have either bibimbap or beef for dinner. And my most difficult task while en-flight would be to climb over my sound-a-sleep seat neighbor for a unwelcoming visit to the lavatory.

Korean Airlines clearly has the best service I've seen and experienced. The flight attendants each not only look professional and classy, their great attitude and outstanding customer service and patience greatly moved me.
